Amazing replacement for Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Cheap, no subscription, perfect for professional use. DAUB brushes – the best sets of natural brushes made by Paolo Limoncelli. I use them in Affinity, but Paolo created sets for other programs too. MainType – a powerful font manager and font viewer for Windows. It is packed with tons of features that makes it simple to find, preview, organize, install, and print your fonts. It fully supports variable fonts and OpenType layout features. A must-have for graphic artists, typographers, and other power users who demand high-end functionality such as network support, advanced categorizing, and complex searching capabilities. Filter Forge – it is a standalone program or a plugin (works well with Affinity Photo and Adobe Photoshop). Filter Forge allows to create procedural textures and modify images. It is possible to edit filters with any text editor, but Filter Forge includes a visual node-based filter editor, allowing to create complex trees of successive generations and transformations of color and position. IWLTBAP – not a software as such, but Lookup Tables. In photography and photomanipulation you can call it more advanced “filters”. I use two brilliant collections from IWLTBAP: Cinematic and Psychadelia which has also its own preview tool. Bulk LUTs Previewer – as its name indicates, a tool for previewing Lookup Tables. Very useful little free program. Adobe Color – online tool to create colour palettes by applying different harmony rules. It supports four colour modes: RGB, CMYK, HSB and L*a*b*. Recently it has got new accessibility tools. Adobe – I use the whole range of Adobe CC applications for many years and for some tasks it is hard to find a better replacement. other good tools Logseq – a joyful, open-source outliner that works on top of local plain-text Markdown and Org-mode files. Use it to write, organize and share your thoughts, keep your to-do list, and build your own digital garden Visual Studio Code – source-code editor with support for debugging, syntax highlighting, intelligent code completion, snippets, code refactoring, and embedded Git.
